Bex Smith is an International Footballer, famous for captaining the Olympic and World Cup teams twice for New Zealand’s National Team and culminating her club career at VfL Wolfsburg winning The Treble as UEFA Champions League, German League, and German Cup Winners up until her retirement in 2013. She's worked as a manager of Competitions at FIFA running the women’s World Cups, then Strategic Planning for women’s football for the last 2 years at FIFA. Bex was also the Global VP of women’s football at COPA90 and in 2020 Bex started Crux Sports looking to bridge the gap between women’s football and football stakeholders.

In this episode Bex discusses her thoughts on Women's Football and has a refreshing perspective and inspiring outlook on the game and where it can go. She chats about the sliding doors moment she got to play football in the World Cup and how that lead to her becoming a professional footballer- which was never on the cards.
